ER70S-6 had been approved by LR, GL ,ABS, NK, DNV , BV & CCS.

AWS ER70S-6 is a copper-plated low alloy steel wire and has excellent weldability.It has low
spatters while welding and can be performed at all positions. Its welds apperance in good-looking
shapes. Owing to the strong binding strength of the copper layer, it has a strong rust-resisting
property,so it can be fed smoothly and stably.Higher impact toughness can be obtained from its
weld at low temperature.
Allplication: Welding of carbon steels and low alloy steels, such as vehicles , vessels,bridges,
building machines and containers etc.
Chemical composition of the wire(%):
C≤0.06-0.15 Mn≤1.40-1.85 Si≤0.8-1.15 S≤0.035 P≤0.025 Cu≤0.50
Mechanical properties of the deposited metal(%):
σb ≥ 500MPa σs ≥420MPa δ5 ≥ 22 AKV (J) -29 'C ≥27
